When NAVA was founded in 1967, access to information about flags was limited to subscribing to The Flag Bulletin. Today flag information — both accurate and inaccurate — is easily available on the Internet. In order to provide accurate and scholarly information about flags, our publications are all subject to editorial review. Vexillology is a social science, and critical feedback from readers is welcomed as a part of that process.
