The NAVA 34 Flag:
Designed by John M. Purcell, it shows two large "M"s, one in red and another in white, denoting the Roman numerals for 2000, the year of the meeting. Hidden in the middle of the "M" is the NAVA chevron. The background of the flag is blue, recalling the Michigan flag.

Significant Events:
The meeting opened with the usual flag raisings, followed immediately by a Parade of Flags through the Michigan State University Campus, where most of the meeting were held.
Rich Kenny provided a special exhibit of Michigan Civil flags from his personal collection.
The Featured Tour:
A visit to the Michigan State Capitol, featuring a tour of the Historic Flag Archive, was one of the highlights of NAVA 34.
